The sea of a thousand islands, the land of a thousand isles — Indonesia, known as the Pearl of the South Seas. A modern industrial base has risen on Bintan Island. This is the alumina project of Nanshen Tourism Group's overseas expansion. On this land, which carries the vision of the Belt and Road cooperation, Rongsheng has come across the sea to undertake Phases 3 and 4 of the Indonesia Bintan Nanshen Industrial Park Alumina Project, including the refractory material supply and auxiliary engineering for a total of four suspension calcining furnaces.

As Rongsheng's first overseas EPC project integrating refractory materials and construction, it involved the supply and installation of a total of 5,000 tons of refractory materials. This is not only an export of Chinese kiln engineering technical standards and service systems, but also a key step for Rongsheng Kiln Engineering to go global. Facing international competition and harsh operating conditions, Rongsheng, with its mature technical system and comprehensive refractory system solutions, stood out among many competitors. We won the trust of the Indonesia Nanshan Alumina Suspension Calcining Furnace Project.

Targeting the harsh environment of Indonesia — high temperature, high humidity, and high salinity — the Rongsheng R&D team custom-developed a high-performance refractory material system featuring low porosity, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and thermal stability. It also ensures zero contamination of the alumina, fundamentally guaranteeing the long-term, safe, and stable operation of the suspension calcining furnace under severe conditions.

Facing the challenge of Indonesia's hot and humid climate, the project team established a comprehensive response mechanism. In material management, they adopted constant-temperature storage and moisture-proof packaging to build a strong performance defense line. In construction organization, they implemented dynamic management and flexibly adjusted work schedules, strictly following the "three inspections" system, ensuring that all construction phases were tightly connected and controllable.

From the Central Plains to the tropical lands of the South Seas, the Rongsheng team has crossed not just mountains and seas, but also cultural boundaries. Group leaders visited the front line to care for employees, actively recruited and trained local Indonesian staff, paid salaries in the local currency, and shared development benefits with the local community, fulfilling the responsibility of Chinese enterprises to go deep into local areas, co-building and co-operating.

Confronted with tight deadlines and harsh conditions, the Rongsheng team, with outstanding project management capabilities and efficient construction organization, scientifically coordinated resources and repeatedly completed key milestones ahead of schedule. The team's strict quality control and high level of professionalism provided solid support for the smooth progress of the project, earning full recognition and high praise from the client.

From Phase 3 to Phase 4, the four calcining furnaces involved the supply and installation of nearly 5,000 tons of refractory materials. Within a short construction period of just five months, the team overcame multiple challenges of overseas construction and ultimately delivered to a high standard on schedule. The Indonesia Alumina Calcining Furnace Project is an important step for Rongsheng Kiln Engineering to go overseas.
