Sillimanite brick Introduction
Sillimanite brick is manufactured from sillimanite and high-purity mullite as the main raw materials, with the addition of ultra-fine micro-powders and additives. It is formed under high pressure and sintered at high temperatures, resulting in low porosity, high strength, and excellent thermal shock resistance.
During heating, sillimanite undergoes a phase transformation into mullite and free silica, which endows sillimanite bricks with exceptional high-temperature performance, excellent thermal shock resistance, and superior structural strength. Sillimanite brick exhibits superior physical and chemical properties compared to high-alumina brick. Its refractoriness ranges from 1770°C to 1830°C, and the refractoriness under load (RUL) initial softening temperature ranges from 1500°C to 1650°C.

Use Of Sillimanite Brick
